The Unique Story and Life Behind Every Persian Rug [VIDEO]

We discoverd this great video from http://www.outtheresomewhere.ca/ about their trip to Iran. There they met a young man who shared with them details of two Beluchi rugs, the symbolism and history woven into these hand knotted works of art.

Fascinating how everyday life and events find their way into the patterns of the rug, such as the opium trade as described about the first rug. The rugs are a way to tell life stories and pass those stories on to future generations.

Visit our photo gallery of many tribal rugs including several hand knotted Beluch area rugs.

We look forward to assisting you in any one of the five NW Rugs showrooms in Portland, Oregon, Los Angeles, CA or Las Vegas, NV.
